Today we are going to review the Michelin 12262 car tyre inflator. Michelin is definitely not new to the tyre inflator market, but the marked obviously belongs to the Ring Automotive RACs. The Michelin brand speaks for itself, the inflator is feels well made and high quality. Michelin 12262 Inflator is a rapid tyre inflator, and has a digital display and a removable gauge. This is quite a powerful inflator, and should be an excellent choice for most medium sized cars. It can inflate a fully deflated tyre in less than 3 minutes. You may wonder where the power comes from, it comes from the 12v cigarrete lighter socket, cable, hose, and valve connectors as included in the package. Like most of the tyre inflators, it can also be used to inflate various inflatable items, such as – balls, toys, mattresses, etc. The good looking, backlit digital display shows the measures in PSI & BAR. Today we’re going to review the Ring RAC800 tyre inflator / air compressor. This is something new for us and we’ve never reviewed a cordless inflator, personally, I never thought things like that could exist – inflators must use a lot of power to inflate, right? so the inflator must be huge to have a battery to support all that power. Wrong, RAC800 is like a drill, it’s not too heavy and the size is very compact. So from now on, no more taking the life out of your car’s battery, you simply lugin this inflator into the mains socket to charge it up. Just because you don’t mains socket or cigarrete lighter socket to make it work, the possibilities and possible uses of it increases 10 times! You could take the inflator with you when you go camping, and inflate mattresses, inflatable toys, etc. There’s also a bad side of it – It’s not going to be as powerful as the mains powered air compressors. But if you don’t need to inflate 4×4 tyres everyday, then this is just the perfect mobile tool. It can inflate a car tyre in under 4 minutes (fully deflated), or it can inflate a single mattress in less than 30 seconds. It also comes with a pressure gauge, although, pressure gauges on most of these inflators are a little bit off. More info..

Ring Automotive RAC750 is 230V mains powered air compressor. Usually, when you purchase this tyre inflator / air compressor, you’ll also receive a handy storage bag. What we love about this tyre inflator is its simple features, high quality analogue display, quick inflation (takes around 2 minutes to inflate a fully deflated car tyre). We recommend this car tyre inflator for any size car or motorbike. Inflating normal size car tyres is easy for RAC750, it has enough power to inflate big 4×4 tyres. Personally, I would recommend getting something like RAC750 to keep in the garage, and buying something more lightweight for the journeys, so you can inflate on the road. RAC750 is powered off the mains, you could have a look at RAC620 if you want a more mobile inflator. Alternatively, if you’re looking for something of a higher quality and power, you should have a look at RAC900.

Ring Automotive RAC610 12V tyre inflator is a simple inflator which has the ability to inflate a car tyre in under 5 minutes. The inflator itself is not very powerful, and would be more suited for motorbikes, small city cars, and such. It provides an air flow rate of 18 to 20 litres per minute. Ring Automotive RAC610 12V comes with a 2.9 power cord which is connected to a 12v power plug (cigarette socket). The air hose is approximately 48 cm long.

Ring Automotive RAC610 Review

Generally RAC610 is only recommended for motorbikes, and small city cars. RAC640 is recommended for normal sized cars, and RAC900 for larger cars.

PROS: Excellent value for money, excellent price, very compact, easy to use.

CONS: Doesn’t have a digital pressure display, doesn’t have the cut-off feature.

This excellent compressor is able to inflate a car tyre in under 4 minutes without any problems. The original specification states that it has an air flow rate of 25 litres per minute, which is sufficient enough for a normal sized car tyre. There are also some built-in lights which can give you the direction at night, also there’s a red light for alert, which alerts the upcoming traffic. This air compressor is fitted with a 12v fused power plug meaning you can use it from the cigarette socket. You may wonder about the length of the cord, this is good news! the inflator comes with a 3,3m power cord, which is long enough for almost any car. if you need a little more length, you can be sure you’ll have it because 60cm long air hose is also included.
